Sarah’s Story

Sara needed help finding a medical team. She lived in Florida for the winter and in a northern state in the summer. She wanted to get a medical team together in place for both locations There were some ongoing medical issues but she was stable . She was having trouble finding the right fit for her.

I was able to find providers who she felt comfortable with. It was important that the providers I found were willing to communicate information readily from state to state. I was looking for continuity of care.

Shortly after finalizing, her health team, she had a major crisis in the winter. She felt she received great care and support during a very difficult. The move south in the spring was seamless and her care remains stable.

Joan’s Story

Joan called me a few weeks before her brother passed away. He had no insurance and had many medical bills from years with cancer. At one point, he had been airlifted to a specialty hospital 600 miles away. Collection agencies were starting to call. Some of his bills went back two years. His bills totaled around $80,000.

Joan knew that hospitals and doctors will go as far as put a lien on any available money from land or houses. The family had joint property and she was concerned.

There was some money available from a trust to pay some bills, about $10,000. My goal was not to go over that.

It took about four months but I was able keep in the $10,000. Some of the providers and facilities, said since he had passed, the bill was void. Others were not so pleasant. Joan was grateful that no joint property was jeopardized and his name was cleared.
